Description
Gaspeite TruStone Fountain Pen
This Gaspeite Fountain pen is handcrafted from TruStone, a proprietary material manufactured in Arizona. Gaspeite is a very rare nickel carbonate mineral, named for the place it was first discovered, the Gaspé Peninsula in Québec, Canada. As with many of these types of materials the company is very secretive about their formula and process in turning the stone into a material that can be turned on a lathe. However, it is known the materials are made using crushed ores and a binding resin. Formulated to recreate the look and hardness of natural gemstone, it polishes to a brilliant glass-like finish. The material is VERY hard, it is necessary to sharpen tools after just just a few passes. Infused with a gold matrix the finished product is stunning with the look and feel of real stone.
Finished in 24kt gold it is nicely balanced and is a pleasure to use both with or without the cap posted. Included is the siphon pump and an ink cartridge for convenience.
This pen can be converted to a rollerball with a Schmidt fine point ceramic insert. Advise is you wish to make the conversion or would like the parts for both at an additional cost.
What is included:
The pen shown in the picture
Blue Velvet Presentation Box with White Satin interior
Blue ink cartridge and siphon pump
